“The essential joy of being with horses is that it brings you in contact with rare elements of grace, beauty, spirit, and freedom.”Sharon Lemon

Our Mission

Mini-Blessings provides equine guided interactions and equine assisted learning activities to anyone in the Central Colorado region who can benefit from the healing power of a horse.

How We Started

Mini-Blessings began with co-founders Crissey Smith and Susan Shampine. Crissey adopted Little Bits in 2005 to provide positive interaction and stress relief for herself and her husband, who had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. Susan, inspired by Crissey’s enthusiasm and love of the minis, soon brought Aurora into the family and the herd grew from there.

Together, they wanted to share the love and healing power of the minis with the community. Mini-Blessings began its operations in 2011 as a 501 © (3) nonprofit, providing Equine Assisted Learning Activities to central Colorado. Our vision is to be an equine facility that provides a safe place for connection, growth, healing, and joy for anyone.
